Job Title: Information Assurance Support
Location: Onsite at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) – Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA
About the Role
3 Reasons Consulting, LLC (3RC) is seeking a qualified Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) Support Specialist to join our team at Madigan Army Medical Center. This position plays a key role in supporting the cybersecurity posture of the enclave by ensuring secure integration of hardware and software, guiding corrective actions, managing vulnerabilities, and maintaining compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the installation and integration of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and software applications, ensuring alignment with enclave cybersecurity requirements.
Direct and/or implement operational structures and processes to support a comprehensive enclave cybersecurity program, including boundary defense, incident detection and response, and key management.
Provide direction and support to system developers and administrators in resolving security issues identified during testing and assessments.
Evaluate system functionality and performance based on testing outcomes and provide recommendations related to Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities.
Attend and contribute to weekly Peer Reviews and status update meetings to maintain alignment with cybersecurity goals and project timelines.
Assess enclave vulnerabilities and implement appropriate countermeasures to mitigate risks and strengthen system defenses.
Contribute to the development of information assurance (IA) customer support policies, procedures, and standards; ensure ongoing maintenance of IA controls in compliance with RMF.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.
Certifications: Security+ CE required; IAM Level III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM) preferred.
Clearance: Must hold an active Secret security clearance.
Experience:
Prior experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) and IA controls within a DoD environment.
Strong knowledge of enclave cybersecurity programs, vulnerability mitigation, and A&A processes.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with system administrators, developers, and stakeholders to resolve complex security issues.
