Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: $114.72-$119.72/Hour

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)

Mission System Architect job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space and Defense company. As the Senior Deputy Member of our technical staff, you'll apply advanced principles of engineering and management to solve complex problems in the development of technology. As a leader, you'll oversee and manage design and development processes as they relate to the engineering of products utilizing principles and technology of physics, mathematics, engineering, and related physical sciences.

Responsibilities:

• Apply Satellite communications, Ground to Satellite communication, or Ground operations experience
• Performs requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of subsystem or system elements under supervision of the lead systems engineer
• Performs technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for subsystems and system elements
• Performs customer requirements analysis, develops system requirements and defines allocations to lower levels (elements and components)
• Performs detailed technical analyses for a subsystem or system elements
• Develops and evaluates systems, networks and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications
• Participates in Modeling and Simulation
• Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
• Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
• Designs a complete and complex framework, system or product and Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses
• Multi-level security domain expertise (and cross-domain)
• Decompose requirements to a level that can avoid requirements bloat (and communicate/track impacts)
• Be recognized as an expert in your field, with exceptional leadership and communication skills
• Easily and effectively communicate technical topics to a diverse audience
• Ability to create an environment where the impact of technology on the business is clearly recognized
• Exceptional aptitude for applying or developing highly advanced technologies, principles, theories and concepts

Qualifications:

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or STEM and 10+ years of experience, or a Master's degree and 8+ years of experience.
• Tactical data network mission system architectures in support of the SDA mission experience, highly preferred
• System-level networking that can face off with the GFE WAN provider and coordinate detailed network design
• History of succession, consistent high performer delivering outstanding results with ability to oversee multiple functions
• Extensive communication skills for interaction with executive leadership on items of significant importance (remediation, risk mgt., regulatory compliance, etc.)
• Extensive ability to present in clear and certain terms
• Prior working relationship with related people from Iridium, SDA, Northrup, York, and Lockheed
• Ability to understand what is in scope, out of scope and manage that complexity
• People with agile program experience
