DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:
All Points is seeking a dedicated System Engineer to join our team at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:
All Points is seeking a dedicated System Engineer to join our team at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Systems engineering support for modernizing legacy engineering systems and peripherals.
- Applies comprehensive knowledge of IT concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments to recommend replacement, consolidation, or excess of outdated equipment.
- Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of replacement systems using cloud, hardware, software, man-machine interfaces, and operating systems for all system level requirements.
- Responsible for interviewing stakeholders, engineers, and scientists to discover required specifications, comparison of solutions and recommend integration strategies.
- The end products will provide an integrated IT solution that ensures functionality and improving capability while ensuring security compliance.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Experience with NIST 800-53 controls to contribute to enhancement of continuous monitoring and reporting of compliance of Windows/Linux platforms.
- Proficient with Linux and Windows system administration (understanding operations is necessary to specify and deploy manageable solutions).
- Proficient with virtualization solutions (migrate to a cost-effective alternative to VMWare with the goal of utilizing existing hardware).
- Proficient with Ansible (automate everything like system configuration and common sysadmin tasks).
- Proficient as a Splunk user (create custom queries, generate custom reports and enable proactive notifications).
- Effective communication skills required to derive requirements and specifications based on interviews with engineers/scientists
