Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an integral member of our accounting division, the AP & AR Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and profitability of our financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for all accounts payable activities payroll functions. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll:
- Process a semi-monthly payroll for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Maintain payroll records and prepare reports.
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Accounts Payable:
- Process and verify invoices for payment.
- Maintain vendor records and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting.
- General Accounting Support:
- Assist with general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Support audit and various other financial activities.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience can substitute for education.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in payroll and accounts payable.
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software (Unanet and UKG experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams or similar workplace chat and videoconferencing tools.
Required Skills and Competencies:

- Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports.
