EWOCS provides reliable high-quality communications and innovative IT solutions for the Guardians, Airmen, and Government agencies assigned to Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and Vandenberg Air Force Base. Responsibilities

• Designs and implements high-availabilty virtualization environments across geographically separated areas.
• Manages hybrid cloud virtualization infrastructure and all CI/CD pipeline elements.
• Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems
  Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage,
• disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
• Partners with Zero-Trust personnel as appropriate to ensure optimal system communication configurations.
• Partners with networking staff to ensure seamless transitions between physical and virtual networks.
• Setup, configuration and deployment of virtualization systems and scripting technologies for high-availability, including:
  
  • VMware vCenter
  • ESXi
  • Horizon View VDI
  • PowerShell
  • PowerCLI

Required Experience/Qualifications

• 10+ years supporting virtualization technologies
• Extensive experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, Horizon, VMware View, vSphere, and other virtualization technologies
• Meet or exceed DoD 8570.1 requirements as follows: Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II which consists of either: Security+ CE, GSEC, or SSCP, plus an additional computing environment certification (VMware certification preferred)

Special Requirements/Security Clearance

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance
• By Light does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters; vaccination requirements and testing are subject to the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements; testing is at the cost of the employee.
