Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal or Senior Principal Deployable Configuration Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aircraft Solutions organization. This role is located in Beale AFB, CA.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
  • Review contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
  • Coordinate modification records for management control.
  • Establish change orders and prepare for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor.
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.


This role can be filled at either the Principal or Senior Principal level based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Configuration Analyst:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 10 years of relevant professional / military experience OR an Associates Degree and at least 6 years of relevant professional / military OR a Bachelors Degree and at least 5 years of relevant professional /military experience OR a Master's degree and at least 3 years of relevant professional / military experience.


Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 14 years of relevant professional / military experience OR an Associates Degree and at least 10 years of relevant professional / military experience OR a Bachelors Degree and at least 8 years of relevant professional /military experience OR a Master's degree and at least 6 years of relevant professional / military experience.


Basic Qualifications for either level
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on-call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.
  • Must have experience supporting aircraft mechanical and avionics systems and metrics.
  • Must have knowledge of technical data and electronic technical manual change processes.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in specifying, collecting, processing, and presenting information from potentially several disparate data sets.
  • Experience in using MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel products.
  • Experience evaluating engineering documentation and changes for implementation.
  • Experience following documented rules and guidelines to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements.
  • Experience in military, government, and aerospace industry. (e.g. aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations technology)
  • Excellent organizational skills to include the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface and work at all levels of employees, management, and outside customers.
  • Solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with Government counterparts, other defense contractor organizations, and other cross-functional organizations.
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels including management, peers, and outside customers.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.


Salary Range: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00Salary Range 2: $108,400.00 - $162,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
