Job Description:
This Network Operations Center (NOC) position is responsible for monitoring the Infrastructure Service Provider (ISP) hosting equipment and services consisting of computers (server), networks, storage, and backup & archive, all in a fast-paced classified environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitoring system dashboards for the status of services.
- Creating Incidents in the Incident Management system.
- Assigning Incidents to the appropriate Tier-2/Tier-3 assignment groups.
- Assisting with troubleshooting services to restore Full Mission Capability, and/or coordinating with other service.
- Providers when incidents span system boundaries.
- Additionally, the role entails investigating and rectifying procedural discrepancies as well as identifying areas of process improvement.
Required Skills:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with Ticketing Systems (ServiceNow, HelpNow, Remedy, JIRA, etc.).
- Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND.
- Experience in Linux.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with virtual/cloud computing technologies such as Citrix, VMware, Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience with Windows.
- Experience with storage products from Oracle, EMC, Dell, Isilon, NetApp, DDN.
- Experience in Networking.
