Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hardware Asset Manager to support the lifecycle management of IT assets across enterprise environments, specifically within the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow, including Hardware Asset Management Pro (HAM Pro), and will be responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement in asset management processes. This position is based in the Washington, D.C. area and requires on-site presence to manage physical hardware assets and collaborate with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full lifecycle of hardware assets from procurement through disposal, ensuring data accuracy and policy compliance.
• Maintain and update hardware asset records within ServiceNow, utilizing HAM Pro for advanced asset tracking and reporting.
• Perform regular audits, reconciliations, and updates of asset inventories to ensure integrity of hardware asset data.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and IT operations teams to track the deployment, transfer, and decommissioning of equipment.
• Monitor compliance with asset management policies and procedures, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Generate reports and dashboards from ServiceNow to support operational decisions, audits, and executive briefings.
• Maintain an internal knowledge base of asset management processes, tools, and documentation.
• Author and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to asset intake, deployment, tracking, and disposal.
• Ensure timely data entry and tagging of new assets, coordinating with vendors and receiving teams as needed.
• Support incident and change management processes by providing accurate asset data.
• Assist with hardware refresh projects, inventory control processes, and surplus equipment handling.
• Train and guide stakeholders on asset management best practices and proper ServiceNow usage related to assets.

Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
• Typically requires a high school diploma with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in IT asset management, with a focus on hardware.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with ServiceNow, including HAM Pro module.
• Strong understanding of hardware asset lifecycle processes in a government or enterprise setting.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices for asset and configuration management.
• Experience supporting federal environments or DOJ components is preferred but not required.
Tools & Technologies:
• Expertise in ServiceNow, specifically with the Hardware Asset Management Pro (HAM Pro) module.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and asset data reconciliation tools.
• Familiarity with asset tagging, barcoding, and hardware inventory control systems.
Additional Qualifications:
• Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to lift and handle IT equipment as part of inventory activities.
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for asset site visits, audits, and coordination activities.
