Description:You will be the Manufacturing Engineering Manager for the mechanical shop manufacturing engineering team. Our team is responsible for providing comprehensive engineering support for all mechanical shop manufacturing operations and developing advanced manufacturing technologies to improve shop processes and efficiency.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the mechanical shop manufacturing engineering team and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive design changes, ensure manufacturability, and improve overall efficiency. You will work closely with senior leadership, quality organization, and program management teams to align with business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Providing strategic and technical guidance on Make/Buy decisions
-Collaborating with the engineering design team to drive design changes
-Ensuring manufacturability, producibility, and affordability of the product portfolio
-Supplying estimates for proposals and interfacing with shop management and program management teams
-Managing the Dallas site ManTech team to develop and integrate advanced manufacturing technologies

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline
-Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
-7+ years of mechanical fabrication background
-CNC Machining knowledge
-Team leadership experience
Desired Skills:
-Strong communication skills
-Familiarity with Dallas production and development programs
-Quality processes knowledge
-Knowledge of estimating practices
-Ability to pursue and manage IRAD projects
-Experience with manufacturing technology development and integration
-Familiarity with lean six sigma principles
-Work Instruction development knowledge
-Familiarity with ERP and MES systems
-Ability to create and implement cause and corrective actions
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
