What You'll Do
As a Lead Behavioral Health Specialist, you will oversee a team of Child Well-Being Specialists and serve as the primary liaison to CBP leadership. You will coordinate behavioral health service delivery, provide clinical decision-making support, and lead operational improvements across the care environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and clinical guidance to Child Well-Being Specialists
- Serve as the lead point of contact for CBP leadership, DHS headquarters, and internal teams
- Manage and support complex child well-being cases
- Oversee staffing coverage and coordinate surge response as needed
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies for care planning and communication
- Conduct staff training, performance management, and coaching
- Lead efforts in process improvement and behavioral health policy development
This is a full-time leadership role with onsite and on-call responsibilities:
- Daily commitment: 8 hours onsite + 4 hours on-call (as needed)
- May include rotating weekend, holiday, and evening coverage
- Must be available to return onsite during on-call hours if required
- Master's or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field
- Active, unrestricted license as one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Psychologist (LP)
- At least 5 years of post-licensure experience in:
- Child development
- Trauma-informed care
- Clinical evaluation
- Minimum 2 years of staff supervision or behavioral health leadership experience
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred (minimum ILR 3/5 or equivalent)
- Strong ability to lead in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary care setting
