MCIS/BSWS Prin Trainer

Duty Description:
Performs duties as an MCIS & BSWS Principal Trainer. Responsible for computer-based sustainment instruction of Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) and/or Battle Space Workstation (BSWS) in classroom and Command Post (CP) environments in accordance with approved Programs of Instruction (POI). The employee must have comprehensive understanding and application of principles, practices, and industry standards of mission command training and training support. Must demonstrate the skill and ability to independently perform complex professional tasks and solve complex problems. Must be able to develop approach to solutions and independently make decisions that do not result in serious program delays or considerable expenditure of resources The employee will provide consulting expertise to military and defense clients in the development and evaluation of military training and participate in determining unit objectives. Represents the MCIS team daily as a prime contact and interacts with senior internal and external partners on significant matters often requiring coordination between multiple stakeholders.. This includes updating POIs, tracking software and hardware updates, ensuring program-wide compliance through direct and indirect communications.
Prepared to create and adapt POIs to the needs of training audiences program-wide based on technical levels and specialties. Ensures all MCIS and/or BSWS are loaded with the latest software version and that MCIS classes are simulation driven and multi-MCIS integrated; also responsible for ensuring all training equipment is properly maintained and serviced. Responsible for the enforcement of standards required for students to graduate, training assistant instructors and the Simulation Systems cross-training to support course instruction and exercise support. Provides input and helps the Team Lead and other instructors with updates to the POI or Exercise support plans and creating course training products. Prepared to support various simulation exercises using WARSIM and other Simulation systems. Responsible for supporting various exercises with "over the shoulder" MCIS support. Performs other duties as required by the Team Lead.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 10 years military training experience and 5 years Command Post Operations experience in lieu of education
• Must possess an active SECRET security clearance. Must have extensive experience with Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) and MCIS Integration in support of CP Operations or with BSWS instruction and support.
• Must have a working knowledge of the following simulation systems used to support MCIS course instruction and exercise support, LOTS, DXTRS & JLCCTC.
• Must be capable of being trained on multiple MCIS and BSWS systems and functions.
• May be required to obtain Network+ certification depending on Mission Command Information System expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent podium instructor experience able to obtain the desired learning outcomes through delivery of well facilitated and engaging instruction. Instructor certification through a formal Army or College Training Program.
• Recent (last 2 years) experience with MCIS or BSWS.
