Overview

This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in science, engineering, or a related discipline to lead efforts in design, development, sustainment, and training for UAS systems. The Engineer/Scientist will collaborate with government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure mission success and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Technical Data Management:
- Digital Enterprise Support: Manage Digital Enterprise product data and Digital Thread framework, ensuring accurate receipt and verification of Logistics Product Data and Digital System Models.
- Lifecycle Analysis: Analyze and assess Engineering Change Proposals, Modification Work Orders, and Requests for Waiver and Deviations to identify logistics impacts and lifecycle product support requirements.
- Documentation Development: Plan, develop, and manage technical data and information to support lifecycle management, including provisioning logistics support source data and engineering source data.
- Publication Development: Develop, revise, and maintain equipment publications such as Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, Operator Manuals, and Depot Maintenance Work Requirements.
- Data Conversion: Convert original documents into XML format using tools like Arbortext, ensuring proper formatting and graphics integration.
- Validation and Verification: Participate in validation and verification of technical publications and ensure accuracy in logistics support analysis reports, technical data packages, and provisioning records.
Training Systems Development:
- Training Strategy: Develop cohesive strategies to train Warfighters to operate and maintain UAS systems throughout their lifecycle.
- TADSS Development: Identify, plan, and resource Training Aides Devices Simulators and Simulations (TADSS), ensuring sustainment at the lowest total ownership cost.
- Courseware Development: Create and maintain operator and maintainer courseware, including Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) and Virtual Immersive Environment materials.
- Training Support: Provide recommendations for corrective action plans, readiness of training requirements, and validation of technology-based training materials.
- Testing and Fielding: Support Government acceptance testing, fielding, and New Equipment Training (NET) for TADSS, ensuring Warfighter readiness.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide contractor personnel with demonstrated expertise comparable to senior UAS operators and maintainers for training execution.
Engineering Services:
- Design and Development: Provide technical and engineering support for the design, development, evaluation, analysis, documentation, production, and sustainment of UAS systems, including associated supporting systems.
- Cybersecurity and Information Assurance: Deliver engineering services to ensure UAS systems meet cybersecurity and information assurance requirements.
- Aircraft Survivability: Provide engineering expertise in aircraft survivability to enhance mission success and operational safety.
- Mission Systems Architecture: Support the development and sustainment of mission systems architecture for UAS systems.
- Sustaining Engineering: Participate in engineering reviews and design reviews, providing recommendations to resolve operational issues and influence required design changes.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience gained after obtaining a bachelor's degree.
- Expertise in technical data management, training systems development, and engineering services for complex systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in XML conversion tools (e.g., Arbortext), logistics analysis tools, and engineering design software.
- Security Clearance:
- Active SECRET clearance required.
Work Location:
- Primary: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
- Secondary: Authorized virtual work location per customer Telework Policy. Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required at other locations.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
- Knowledge of Federal, DoD, and Army regulations related to technical data, training systems, and engineering services.
