Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a for a Manager General Manufacturing 2 for Ground Support Equipment, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at St. Augustine, FL also supporting Melbourne, FL.
In this position you will lead a team of non-exempt employees, who are responsible for the maintenance /repair of Ground Support Equipment, Tooling and Special Test Equipment (STE).Leads the GSE/Tooling team in executing the best practices following PrOP documents, T.O's and owner manuals. Ensures team members receive the required training and prepares the daily work orders in support of overall maintenance of equipment. Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees. Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported. Ensure proper planning of work scheduled for the machine shop, setting priorities. Experience in managing teams responsible for GSE maintenance and operations. Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics and manufacturing operations. Identifies, develops, and implements the department metrics and goals to achieve results and execute programs and projects on time and within budgets. Drive consistent policies in support of business standards and objectives while mitigating risk. Provides the leadership skills to influence, empower, and advises the staff to build effective department and foster cooperation between the various functional counterparts.

Salary Range: $101,800.00 - $152,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Attend regular program and production meetings.
- Implements and maintains process improvements by analyzing and establishing best practices for production support.
- Manage internal and external supplier relationships and resolve any issues raised related to daily activities. Engage with Internal partners in order to generate and execute ideas and opportunities.
- Lead a team including performance reviews, motivating team members, and providing appropriate communication to team members
- Implement LEAN continuous improvement for existing facilities and new facilities

Basic Qualifications :
- High School Diploma / G.E.D. and 12 years of experience in general manufacturing and/or tooling OR Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in general manufacturing and/or tooling experience OR Master's degree and 6 years of experience in general manufacturing and/or tooling/maintenance experience.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business.
- Ability to work 1st or 2nd Shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree and a minimum of 6 years of Aircraft Manufacturing experience.
- Previous Leadership, Supervisory or Management experience.
- Ability to solve problems effectively.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to support team environment and build strong team.
- A strong maintenance background.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel.
