About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a Junior First Response Engineer to join us.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Implement changes to network configurations following approved procedures
- Ensure LAN/WAN availability and optimal performanceCollaborate with cybersecurity teams to maintain network security posture
- Maintain and update network diagrams, documentation, and asset inventories
- Perform analysis of IT systems to identify performance bottlenecks or reliability issues
- Document system behaviors, updates, and incident resolution steps
- Provide technical recommendations for system improvements
- Support integration and interoperability of platforms and services
- Adhere to DHS and CBP security policies and procedures
- Participate in team meetings and briefings to ensure situational awareness
- Systems analysis and troubleshooting skills, Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational readiness
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
- BS 0-2 Years or HS 6-8
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- CompTIA A+ or Network+
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and a Public Trust clearance
