Job Summary

B&A is looking for a Test Engineer to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Navy ERP Test Engineer to join our Test and Evaluation (T&E) team supporting the U.S. Navy's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated test plans to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of SAP ECC-based Navy ERP solutions. This position involves close collaboration with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure that system enhancements and maintenance releases meet stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Navy ERP (SAP ECC) applications.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to validate software changes, system enhancements, and regression cycles.
  • Utilize Worksoft Certify, SAP Solution Manager (SolMan), and HP ALM/Quality Center for test management and automation execution.
  • Support functional, system integration, performance, and acceptance testing across multiple project releases.
  • Collaborate with developers, functional leads, and business analysts to verify requirements traceability and test coverage.
  • Analyze test results, document defects, and participate in defect triage meetings and Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs).
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive test script repository, ensuring relevance and accuracy across ERP modules.
  • Support the validation of technical specifications, user stories, and configuration documents for testability and completeness.
  • Mentor junior testers and support training initiatives on ERP testing best practices and tool usage.
  • Provide status reports, test metrics, and test readiness briefings to QA leads, PMs, and stakeholders.

Education and Experience
  • 6-8+ years of experience in SAP ERP testing, preferably within a Navy ERP ECC environment.
  • A bachelor's degree

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated expertise with Worksoft Certify, HP ALM/Quality Center, and SAP Solution Manager (SolMan).
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test lifecycle, and defect lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with test automation design, script development, and execution.
  • Familiarity with DoD IT systems, Navy enterprise applications, and testing policies/guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Skills
  • Experience supporting performance testing using LoadRunner, JMeter, or other tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid SDLC methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer ScienceBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Security Clearance
  • Active Secret clearance.
