Chipton-Ross is currently seeking two highly skilled Manufacturing Engineers for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, California. This role supports a high-profile aerospace program and requires experience in advanced manufacturing planning, systems integration, and technical documentation.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) and Order Bill of Materials (OBOM)
Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, models, and process specifications to create detailed work instructions
Collaborate with Designers and Production Engineers to ensure alignment with tooling and manufacturing requirements
Review and revise electronic work instructions to ensure compliance and accuracy
Document and track action items from management and program review meetings to completion
Basic Qualifications (Required):
Proficiency with Teamcenter and iBASEt
Experience with planning functions, including Computer Aided Production Planning (CAPP) and Shop Order Maintenance (SOM)
Working knowledge of SAP and SFM systems
Strong understanding of engineering blueprints and manufacturing processes
Solid foundation in manufacturing planning processes and technical writing
Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications
Proficient with MS Office and model-based engineering systems such as 3DX
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the aviation or aerospace industry is preferred
Education Requirement:
Accredited Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Additional Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last five years or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation
Ability to obtain special access clearance prior to assignment
Work Schedule:
4/10 Schedule (Four 10-hour days, 1st Shift)
