Paralegal (Supervisor)
Directs and supervises the work of Senior Paralegal and other support staff at PARDON Attorney Office. Monitors Senior Paralegal and other staff work and reports on progress
Review and synthesize large volumes of public rulemaking comments collected.
Review legal and court documents to include procedural and factual histories; conduct legal research and investigation; produce written and oral legal work product.
Obtain or review required information from criminal case files, law enforcement agencies, or other sources, to include legal documents for review.
Electronically request and collect reports from the casework partners, including the other federal or Department agencies.
Conduct legal research on various Department and government litigation positions for use in casework product.
Preserve records necessary for litigation proceedings related to the casework of the office.
Draft correspondence to casework partners, including U.S. Attorney's offices and the appropriate unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, seeking case review or investigation.
Provide support to reviewers conducting application/casework review, including copyediting, summarizing case-related materials, performing general investigatory functions, and conducting legal research.
Compile and organize relevant documents in preparation for correspondence with various casework partners.
Maintains the electronic case files, enters data in the case management system, and calendars deadlines using MS Outlook Qualifications.
Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study, an equivalent level of legal training or experience or an equivalent level of education may be substituted
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
