Job Description
ECS is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work in our Arlington, VA office.

We are seeking a Guided Missile/Systems of Systems engineer/analyst. This role involves overseeing the management, auditing, and validation of Missile requirements and capabilities across an integrated weapons platform. Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) or military projects is desired.

Candidate will provide program office and technical support services to Department of Defense, U.S. Navy. The successful candidate will provide daily in-person client support during core business hours in Arlington, VA. Candidate will provide engineering and program management support in a highly visible, fast paced program office environment. Provide missile system engineering, test planning and execution, project management (technical, cost, schedule), and program office support and reporting. Monitor field activity, laboratory and vendor/contract technical and activities (including common missile components, obsolescence, technical instructions, recertification activities, test planning and support, etc.), financial status, and contract execution. Prepare technical and financial reports, summarize, and provide status updates. Coordinate tasking for vendors, contractors and program office. Attend monthly management/technical reviews with program office, laboratories, and vendors. Travel required (approximately 25%).
Required Skills
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, development, testing, and/or process management
  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and project management principles
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for mission-critical projects
  • Customer-focused with a people/service-oriented mindset
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
  • Prior experience in DoD/military projects.
Desired Skills
  • Masters in Engineering
  • 15+ years of experience
  • Familiarity with Standard Missile systems and Navy weapon systems is highly desirable
  • Ability to navigate the interfaces between Government and contractor activities is a bonus
  • Experience in integrated weapons systems, particularly in missile or defense systems, is a significant plus.
