Aspen Consulting Group (ACG) is seeking a full-time ML/AI Software Engineer to work for the US Army’s R&D Center on-site in APG, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Machine Learning, specifically in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Learning (DL), and RF signal processing applications. They will provide analysis, requirements and algorithm design, implementation, integration, verification, and maintenance of artificial intelligence software systems and collaborate across multi-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving the IT services enterprise. The candidate will have the opportunity to use their experience and knowledge to develop hardware and software to improve the signal processing of current and next generation RF systems including radar, EW and ISR sensors.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or physics.
• Active DoD secret clearance.
• Two plus years of experience in Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning in complex software
systems.
• Experience with programming in a compiled language such as Python (preferred), C, Java, or C++.
• Experience with performing statistical analysis of datasets and algorithm performance.
• A strong understanding of supporting technologies including cloud computing, containerization (for
deployment), parallelization (for training), databases (for training data), and Git (for code
management).
• Experience with integrating AI engine/techniques with Modeling and Simulation Applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with PyTorch, Numpy, Pandas, and OpenCV toolboxes.
• Familiarity with code containerization techniques (e.g. Docker).
• Knowledge of domain specific radar principles, including signal processing, target acquisition, target
tracking, resource management, discrimination, and battle manager interfaces.
