What You'll Be Doing:

No two days are the same-but here's a snapshot of your impact:
  • Take the lead in developing technical solutions across software, hardware, configurations, and architecture
  • Solve highly complex hardware and software issues, often independently
  • Perform advanced installations, upgrades, and configurations of operating systems and software packages
  • Monitor and fine-tune systems for top-tier performance and reliability
  • Mentor and guide junior team members-your expertise will shape their growth
  • Lead data recovery efforts and manage system backup schedules
  • Assess current systems and help design long-term improvement strategies
  • Configure and maintain networked systems, ensuring everything runs like clockwork
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with IT standards and best practices
  • Collaborate across teams, communicating effectively with both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide training to end-users-sometimes one-on-one, sometimes in larger group settings
  • Lead tasks and projects, providing direction without direct management responsibilities
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Education/Experience: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience + 8 years in a systems administration role
  • Certifications: Security+ or CASP and ITIL v4 Foundations
  • Proven experience leading technical solutions and projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for efficiency, security, and continuous improvement

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $120-130k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.

D2 Consulting provides services to the Federal Government focused in the following three area's We leverage D2 Consulting engineering, operations and governance best practices to efficiently and effectively deploy, maintain and continuously improve IT services and solutions. This includes not only engineering solutions such as VDI and providing direct support to operations but also deploying the tools to instrument and maintain Enterprise performance and availability (including ITSM and Enterprise Management Tools). Protect & Secure: This is our cyber security practice, which includes functions like audit and information assurance, as well as the traditional mechanics of securing IT systems and services. We have experience working with the Government to better manage risk to help move the accreditation process along. This is especially true with respect to adapting accreditation controls to a cloud environment.
