Job Description
The selected candidate will work with task leads and within a team to meet material requirements in support of multiple projects and customers operating simultaneously. The candidate must be highly motivated, well-organized, and practice effective time management in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, conducting market research of part information to include pricing and lead times, submitting purchase requests, researching status of open orders, working with vendors and receiving team to reconcile orders and resolve discrepancies.
The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $18.94/hr.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Associate degree and at least 2 years of related experience
Ability to interact and communicate well with others
Intermediate computer skills with operational knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Basic experience with Master Parts List (MPL), Master Equipment List (MEL), Bill of Materials (BOM), Costpoint and DPAS
Basic experience reading engineering drawings
Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
