Description:This position leads the west region supplier quality engineer team. The west region includes California, Arizona, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Idaho and may be subject to change.
Frequent travel to region or location within region is required.
The candidate selected for this position will:
Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of supplier quality engineers responsible for hardware components, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to ensure alignment and effective communication on hardware quality issues.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with hardware suppliers, including quality, reliability, and supply chain risks.

Basic Qualifications:
- Appropriate degree from an accredited college, OR equivalent experience/combined education.
- Background in structural manufacturing and machining.
- Experience with RCCA.
- Experience leading a team both onsite and virtually.
- Experience working with suppliers.
- Ability to travel.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Supplier Quality Engineer (CSQE), or other relevant certifications.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supplier quality engineering or management role, with a focus on hardware components.
- Strong knowledge of hardware quality principles, standards, and regulations, such as AS9100, ISO 13485, or IATF 16949.
- Communicate supplier quality issues and improvements to stakeholders, including senior management, engineering, and procurement teams.
- Develop and coach supplier quality engineers to improve their technical and leadership skills, ensuring a high-performing team.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with hardware suppliers, including quality, reliability, and supply chain risks.
- Strong communication skills including verbal and written.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $117,200 - $206,770. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
