We're expanding our team supporting the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and the Regional Network Enterprise Center for the National Capital Region (RNEC-NCR). This is an exciting opportunity to work on secure, high-impact systems that keep the Army's digital infrastructure operating smoothly-24/7.

You'll bring your knowledge of network engineering to support an intricate and vital network infrastructure, helping ensure secure communication across multiple systems, from routers to firewalls and everything in between.

What You'll Do
  • Support a broad range of network engineering tasks, including:
  • Designing, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure
  • Managing LAN/WAN/Sonet systems and hardware for ICAN (Installation Campus Area Network)
  • Respond to AESMP ticket submissions, especially for VIP or high-priority issues, within 2 hours
  • Support 24/7 operations on a rotating on-call basis
  • Configure and maintain secure access using CAC and PKI for user authentication and email encryption
  • Complete equipment installations and network enhancements, including:
  • Hubs, routers, switches, concentrators, firewalls, VPNs, multiplexers, and storage systems
  • Support NIPRNET connectivity and bandwidth optimization between Fort Belvoir and other locations
  • Manage configuration updates for software, antivirus, patches, and secure data transmission methods
  • Install and manage PKI server-side certificates, SSL, and secure VPN/CITRIX/SQL environments


What You'll Bring
  • An active Secret security clearance
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in network engineering
  • An active CCNA Routing and Switching certification
  • An IAT-II certification (such as Security+ CE) - higher-level certifications like CCNA Security are also acceptable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with engineers, government contacts, and senior stakeholders
  • A deep understanding of secure communications networks - especially those used by military or government agencies

A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but relevant experience will be considered in its place.
