Program Overview
Supports the transformation and modernization of legacy Coast Guard systems and services including mobility, messaging, ITSM, ITAM, Network Infrastructure, and legacy data systems from on premise implementations to cloud and hybrid cloud solutions. New system and service implementations, including zero trust architecture, to provide leading edge systems that are both secure and accessible.

Peraton is seeking an onsite NOC Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Kearneysville, WV. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's United States Coast Guard Infrastructure Managed Service (IMS) program.

Target Salary Range: $39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

About The Role
Peraton is seeking an onsite NOC Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Kearneysville, WV. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's United States Coast Guard Infrastructure Managed Service (IMS) program.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Monitors critical network elements and applications using various network monitoring systems in a 7x24x365 Network Operations Center (NOC).
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains telecommunications networks in the NOC environment.
- Tests new and already installed hardware and software programs.
- Uses computerized network management systems to check for system alarms when parts of the network are not working properly and may jeopardize the level of communication services available to customers.
- Follows procedures to validate, troubleshoot, and escalate issues.
- May be required to work second and third shift, or work overtime in the event of network outages.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma/equivalent and 3 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with customer senior leadership
- Security+ Certification
- Experience with ITSM Tools and IT Monitoring Tools
- US Citizenship and Active Secret Clearance
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification (not required to start but expected to attain in first six months)
