Logistics Specialist III

As a Logistics Specialist III, you will assist our team with the receiving, processing, and overall accountability for aircraft material spares, tools, and test equipment. You'll support our receiving, warehousing, document control, shipping and repair and return departments to support a DoD contract. You will learn and be exposed to DoDi, ITAR, FAR/DFAR, and AFAA regulations. This job will be working is a US Air Force Logistics Depot (FX2370) and all functions with in the depot to include but not limited to the following. Supporting various field sites for the supported programs within the command. Providing parts, status, material updates, shipping and warehousing. We use the Logistics Support Plan (LSP) and various Air Force regulations and instruction. A dynamic environment with the ability to learn several different roles to grow and advance within the depot. Directing supporting the US Air Force and providing critical parts to worldwide missions. A Team environment where everyones roles is vital in order to provide world class support to our customer.

Responsibilities:

• Loading/unloading shipments from inbound freighters and inspecting shipments for damages.
• Log all incoming material into an inbound freight registry.
• Receiving individual line items against PR's/PO's within the inventory management system Cost Point.
• Completing inventories and warehouse validations
• Pulling parts for issues Work could be in any of the various roles with in a the Depot.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience
• A higher level degree may substitute for experience
• Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
• Progressive experience with inventory databases
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Customer service skills
• A current driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required
• Previous experience using Costpoint
• Basic understanding of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
• Experience with inventory databases
• Must have attention to detail and the ability to follow an established
• An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with AvPro, BSI, SAP or a similar aviation maintenance tracking system.
• HazMat Training/Certification
• Forklift Experience
• Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS
• Basic understanding of Shelf Life
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
• Previous experience using Air Force Supply System a plus
• DOD supply knowledge a plus
• ITAR knowledge a plus

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $29.03 - $39.92. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
