Description
Oversee the performance, availability, and security of mission-critical database systems, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and government standards Implement, maintain, and optimize Oracle database Manage database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching Proactively monitor database performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative measures Enforce database security policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and confidentiality Demonstrate proficiency in deploying, upgrading, patching, and troubleshooting Oracle WebLogic server environments Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database performance to maximize efficiency Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align database systems Other duties as assigned

Salary: $120,000 - $155,000

Requirements
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required
- Master's Degree preferred and can be substituted for 4 years of experience
- DoD IAT Level II certification required
Experience:
- 12+ years of professional experience in the required task area at least 9 years of which must be as a Database Administrator
Preferred Experience:
- Strong knowledge of SQL database performance tuning
- Experience with database security concepts, hardening, and STIG
- Experience in Cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, etc.
- Familiarity with Agile processes and tools
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Interim Secret Clearance
- Preference will be given to candidates with an active DoD issued Clearance at level Secret or higher
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
