Responsibilities:
The Cloud Architect leads the design, implementation, and governance of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure in support of Kessel Run’s modern software delivery environment. This role focuses on enabling cloud-native development, DevSecOps pipelines, and platform automation across multiple enclaves and environments, aligned with DoD security and operational requirements.

Design and implement enterprise cloud architecture solutions that support Agile software development and CI/CD automation.

Support integration of cloud-native services (e.g., compute, networking, identity, and logging) in authorized cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
Evaluate emerging technologies and provide guidance on cloud migration, optimization, and cost management.

Required Experience:
7–10+ years of experience in cloud architecture or platform engineering roles.
Strong experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), especially in DoD or high-security environments.
Proficiency in Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native services.
Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Knowledge of DoD cloud governance, ATO/RMF processes, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53).
