Blue Rose is seeking a Security Specialist to join our team and support our work with a federal client. This is a hybrid role, requiring onsite work in the Washington, DC area approximately 20% of the time. This role is open to U.S. Citizens only and requires an active Secret Clearance.
In this role, you will:
Assist in defining requirements, designing, and implementing secure infrastructure and cloud-based solutions
Support development of dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
Configure and enhance ServiceNow Platform capabilities for IT service management
Monitor and support security operations across cloud environments
Participate in the development, testing, implementation, and support of security solutions aligned with federal standards
Document technical requirements, compliance activities, and support materials
Assist in resolving integration issues and maintaining data accuracy across systems
Support vulnerability remediation, compliance monitoring, and audit activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in an Agile development environment
Contribute to broader efforts around data protection, access controls, and incident response
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must:
Have foundational knowledge and experience (6–12 months) in cloud infrastructure security and operations
Be familiar with Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and business reporting
Have basic proficiency with the ServiceNow Platform and its core capabilities
Possess strong communication skills and attention to detail
Be comfortable supporting multiple priorities in a fast-paced, Agile environment
Hold an active Secret Clearance
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with federal security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA)
Exposure to GRC platforms, scripting, or ticketing systems
Interest in certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Salary: $90,000
