Electrician at various Overseas locations. This position will be responsible for performing work required for the repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems as related to FEBR and barrier security systems. Is familiar with US Embassy/OBO standards for construction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems.
Locate determine, and repair electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
Test electrical equipment using standard test equipment and by observing functions.
Install fixtures, interior and exterior infrastructure and duct banks, conduits fittings, know how to bend EMT and Rigid Conduit, install motors, and other electrical equipment. Layout for electrical branch circuits in building, Install BS materials into electrical systems.
Take initiative to analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, safety and electrical codes.
Install and terminate low voltage devices, cameras, door controls, ADA buttons, power supplies, air pumps and racks.
Install, repair, maintain, test, commission and warrant equipment and systems installed.
Develop red line drawings and train Post personnel on systems installed.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Five (5) years’ electrical experience in operations and maintenance services.
Experience working with SOW, electrical diagrams, and blueprints.
Knowledge of applicable US Codes, BS 7671, UFC applicable codes and acceptable trade practices.
Must have good organizational and communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
A high school diploma or GED. Completion of a four or five-year Electrical Apprenticeship program.
