Barrier Controls Technician at various Overseas locations. Responsible for on-site installation, programming, service, maintenance, and repair on various gate or barrier security related equipment and panels. Is familiar with US Embassy/OBO standards for construction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Install, Program, Test, commission, Warrant, Train Post Personnel, Service and Maintenance, and develop red line drawings for various perimeter barriers, operated gates, and other security related equipment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to review and comprehend schematic design
Detailed knowledge of electrical and barrier control panel layouts ensuring fit of all components and proper terminations.
Knowledge in low voltage safety, sensor calibration, fiber-optics, programmable logic controls (PCLs), mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Ability to install infrastructure and cabling supporting existing and new barriers.
Knowledge in both hydraulic and electric barrier systems.
