Quality Control-Cleared Contractor - Clifton, NJ - Secret

As a Quality Control Contractor, you will be responsible for the identification and documentation of quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. Facilitates the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products.

Responsibilities:
  • Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
  • Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
  • Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
  • Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
  • Support Fabrication and Integration of Space Flight Hardware and Software:
    • tasks include Approve Work Authorization Documents; Support material review and corrective action system and Standard repair development and authorization
    • Evaluate use of sampling methods, key characteristic data collection, and monitoring once the process, documentation, and personnel are stable
    • Continually evaluate contract performance, cost control, and customer satisfaction Support Acceptance Test and Qualification Test Procedure (ATP/QTP) failures
    • Ensure approved test procedures, Certificates of Conformance or other contractually acceptable sell-off methods
    • Identify required quality records, including preparation and maintenance
    • Strong Root analysis skills and written communication skills
    • Ensure team understanding of Quality procedures, requirements via briefings


Qualification:
  • BA of Engineering Aerospace Electrical or Mechanical
  • 6 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or equivalent
  • Conduct program process audits as required.
  • Strong knowledge of job area and knowledge of project management.
  • Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
  • Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
  • Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
  • MS Office Suite

Nice to Haves:
  • Program management Experience
  • Knowledge of Agile PLM
  • Green Belt
  • ASQ

Preferred:
Knowledge of J Standard 01 and 620
Knowledge of AS9100D
