Testbed Engineer

About the Role:
Aquila is seeking a Testbed Engineer t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Testbed Engineer will have experience with Solaris and Linux system administration. The Testbed Engineer will build, configure and maintain the software and hardware development environment of current and future test bed platforms.

Clearance Level: position requires a Top Secret from the start of the assignment due to the nature of the work that is being done and the facilities that require access. - Authorized to Work in the US
Location: position is onsite at least 4 days/week to work in the classified space.
Travel - position does travel with some short notice (domestic travel only). Travel is about 20%.

There are a few requirements for the position:
- Must be a U.S Citizen- Authorized to Work in the US - Must have a Active Top Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
- Must be within 100 miles from Lexington, MA
Must Have
- Degree Level Bachelor's Degree
- Clearance Level Top Secret Clearance
- 15 years - AEHF and Milstar Satcom Systems
- 10 years - Government Policy/Regulations
- 10 years - STIGs/SCAP
- 15 years - Networks
- 15 years - Networking experience routers/switches/firewalls/servers
- 15 years - Systems
- 15 years - Operating Systems (Linux OR Unix)
- 15 years - Redhat Linux Systems Administration
- 15 years - Solaris 10/11 Administration
- 20 years - Systems Administration
- 15 years - Ubuntu Systems Administration experience
- 15 years - Testing
- 15 years - Experience with network testbed systems
Requirements:
- Current experience with Solaris 10 and 11, Red Hat Enterprise LINUX 5, 6, and 7 and Ubuntu
- Current experience with Cisco switches and routers
- Requires previous experience with maintaining an IT based AEHF I&T infrastructure.
- Current experience using DISA STIGs
- Experience with Themis, Motorola, and GE SBCs
- The Testbed Engineer will also be responsible for configuring, supporting and securing LINUX, SOLARIS and network devices as outline by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- The Testbed Engineer will configure and support single board computers (SBCs) from Themis, Motorola, and GE running Solaris, Linux or VxWorks.
- The Testbed Engineer will set-up, configure, patch and maintain security of Cisco switches and routers.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with electrical equipment that operates in the radio frequency band is desirable.
