Cloudshape is experiencing growth within our IT & Engineering Portfolio. We are currently seeking a talented Database Administrator to join our growing team. This person will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade and ongoing maintenance of customer database platforms.
To be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active secret security clearance is required. This is a funded position on a current contract and is contingent upon government approval of a candidate and verification of their security clearance prior to starting with Cloudshape.
Basic Qualifications:
• Ten years of experience within the DBA field
• Experience administering one or more of the following database engines: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Understanding of database concepts, including data modeling, normalization, and query optimization.
• Strong SQL (Structured Query Language) skills are essential. Must be able to write and optimize SQL queries.
• Experience using Windows or Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with system administration tasks such as backup and recovery, user management, and security.
• Ability to optimize database performance, including indexing, query tuning, and monitoring system performance.
• Proficiency in database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• US Citizen with an active Public Trust.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
• Experience with AWS RDS, Azure SQL or Oracle Cloud Database
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
