Position Summary

Odyssey is recruiting for a Journeyman Logistics Manager for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services (EPASS) Contract at Peterson SFB, in Colorado Springs, CO supporting the COBRA DANE Program Office in Space Systems Command Battlespace Awareness Acquisition Delta (SSC/SZB) of the United States Space Force. Their mission is to modernize and sustain Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Space Domain Awareness, and Command and Control capabilities for the homeland and our allies.

This is a full-time position at Peterson Space Force Base, in Colorado Springs, CO. Local candidates are authorized partial telework, subject to change per the customer's discretion.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Apply knowledge, familiarity and experience implementing tenets of the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook and the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements in a USAF/USSF system acquisition/modification/sustainment environment as the basis for determining supportability of system modernization and sustainment projects
  • Apply knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning during all project phases and milestones and have proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative military/civilian/contractor project team
  • Perform sustainment logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program
  • Identify specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support programs.
  • Correlate logistics requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place
  • Provide expert logistics input on Request for Proposals (RFPs), Statement of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs)
  • Apply Waterfall and/or Agile development logistics methodologies to both hardware & software acquisition/sustainment projects in a SPO setting
  • Develop and execute logistics and sustainment plans
  • Identify and assist with mitigating sustainment problem areas
  • Coordinate transition of maintenance activities to Air Logistics Complexes, as required
  • Lead Supply Support Integrated Product Team (SSIPT) meetings; support Stakeholder and Program Reviews


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Citizenship: Must be US Citizen

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain DoD Secret level clearance

Education: High School Diploma

Years of Experience: 7 years of functional experience in acquisition/sustainment logistics with at least 5 years of experience in the Defense Industry OR,
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 3 years of experience in United States Air Force/United States Space Force System Program Office acquisition/sustainment logistics


Preferred Experience:
  • Experience as a sustainment logistician for USSF/USAF Ground Based Radar systems
  • Military leadership and management experience
  • Problem solver/solution seeker; critical thinker willing to identify alternative solutions to complex problems.
  • In-Depth familiarity with USAF Technical Orders as a user
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills and be capable of developing and presenting reports and presentations to the project teams, weapon system management and customer personnel in a clear, articulate, and concise manner.
  • Agile and Waterfall acquisition experience
  • Previous experience supporting maintenance/operations/logistics activities for USSF or USAF
  • Contractor Logistics experience supporting systems under sustainment.
  • Experience developing and presenting logistics product technical documentation.
  • Broad knowledge of the organization and functions of activities involved in providing logistical support

Location: Peterson Space Force Base - Colorado Springs, CO

Hybrid: This position is hybrid, with 75% of the time authorized for telework and 25% in-office on Peterson SFB - subject to change per the customer's discretion

Travel: Routinely l ess than 10% travel; determined by current project requirements
