Senior System Administrator- Remote!

Responsibilities

As an IT Systems Administrator you will have the opportunity to do the following:

• Work with a small team to maintain the health and compliance of several systems including Windows and Linux supporting web applications serving the military childcare community.
• Work with an integrated project team to handle releases, configurations, trouble shooting, patches, access and maintenance.
• Coordinate task lists and schedules across teams to ensure we provide service required on time
• Support configurations, deployments, security scans and assessments in Microsoft .Net, Java, Drupal, and Adobe ColdFusion technologies
• Apply security, operating system, software patches (including STIGs and IAVA/IAVB) in the DISA environment
• Assist in all information assurance and RMF Certification & Accreditation processes
• Perform systems monitoring, including performance and security monitoring, on all systems
• Identify areas of innovation, improvements, efficiencies and performance scale improvements

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows based environments and will be able to support integrated environments with a mix of all of these technologies in place.
• TS/SSBI Clearance Required!
• Security+ certificate or equivalent
• At least 10+ years of experience in:
  • Windows server administration including IIS and web applications using MSSQL Server
  • Linux systems, including Ubuntu and Red Hat Web and application servers and services, including Apache Tomcat
  • Database Server systems administration MS SQL Server and MySQL (this is not database development, but maintenance of the database system environment)
  • Amazon Web Services VMWare Network and systems design and configuration
  • Documentation of network and systems designs Windows Servers
  • ColdFusion administration knowledge or experience is a plus

• Experience with hosting in a secure DISA environment a plus
• Experience with AWS GovCloud a plus

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $80,100.00/Yr. - USD $133,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
