As a Prime Government Contractor for the U.S Navy, we are currently searching for a talented Cloud Solutions Architect to Telework. Customer is in Charleston, SC and period trips to customer site may be required.
About the Job
You will be a Cloud Solutions Architect to meet current and emerging operational requirements for the U.S Navy with experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Office 365 or Google Cloud Platform.
Job Requirements
Ten (10) years with Master's or fourteen (14) years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience with research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs which may include database maintenance within an application area. Individuals shall have experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
Specific Experience: Gathers requirements and designs Public, Private, and Hybrid Cloud-based system deployments and system transitions. Architecting and planning migrations to commercial
cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Office 365, Google Cloud Platform, or similar cloud platforms. Will perform in a supervisory or technical lead role on a team of architects leading the design and recommendations. A Cloud Solution Architect generally does not perform the actual implementation of the solution. The following types of tasks will be performed by the Cloud Solution Architect
a). Work with end users and application experts to elicit requirements for designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems in cloud-based systems
b). Lift and shift planning for an existing on-premises application to cloud based systems
c). Ingress and egress planning for data migration to and from cloud-based systems
d). Selecting the appropriate cloud service based on data, compute, database, or security requirements
e). Integration with on-premises enterprise networks and systems
f). Identifying appropriate use of cloud architectural best practices
g). Estimating cloud costs and identifying cost control mechanisms
h). Providing tasking and oversight over other technical members of the team performing the design and architecture
i). Providing technical clarity and direction to Cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS Consultants
j). Reviews final work products for correctness and adherence to design concepts

Required Skills
- Master's or bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)
- Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- CISM or CISSP Certification.
- U.S Citizenship and Secret Clearance or Top-Secret Clearance is required.
