SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer and Editor with an active Top Secret clearance. This position is 100% onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer and Editor with an active Top Secret clearance. This position is 100% onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
Job responsibilities:
- Write and edit technical documents including briefings, papers, general correspondence, and briefings for grammar, punctuation, formatting, and clarity
- Assess and integrate technical and visual information from multiple sources into well-structured and professionally articulated products
- Facilitate appropriate review and clearance through Public Affairs and the Office of Security Review
- Assess and evaluate technical content against mission objectives and strategic messaging guidance to deliver written and visual products for both internal and external audiences
- Facilitate collection and dissemination of materials for coordination and approval
- Format documents according to Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) standards
- Work with diverse groups to reach agreement on content
- Interview subject matter experts to obtain content
- Perform document configuration control and storage
- Collate, edit, format, and refine DDRE-level reports
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or related field and ten (10) years or more experience; Masters degree and eight (8) or more years of experience
- Experience writing in engineering or other highly technical domains
- Expert skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Familiarity with Congressional activities, proposals, and reports
- Experience and skill to interact with technical experts in systems engineering
- Familiarity with document coordination and work flow practices
Required Clearance:
- Active Top Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI required to maintain employment
- US citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience within the DoD is preferred
- Masters Degree and eight (8) years of experience
