POSITION SUMMARY

The Software Engineer (DEVSECOPS & AI Solutions) supports the development of cutting-edge AI-driven solutions. This position contributes to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of secure and scalable software systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into our training solutions while ensuring the highest levels of security and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • DevSecOps Implementation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines emphasizing security, automation, and monitoring.
  • Azure Cloud Development: Design, deploy, and manage cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, utilizing services such as Azure DevOps, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), and Azure Machine Learning.
  • AI Solutions Development: Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate AI algorithms into software applications, optimizing performance and scalability; develop Retrieval Augment Generation (RAG) solutions such as with Microsoft Fabric.
  • System Security: Implement secure coding practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with security frameworks such as NIST or RMF.
  • Automation and Monitoring: Automate infrastructure provisioning and deploy monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and cybersecurity specialists, to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment plans, and user guides.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Entry - 0 to 3 Years

MID - 4 to 7 Years

SENIOR - 7+ Years
  • Five or more years of software development experience.
  • Proven expertise in DevSecOps practices, tools, and frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and technologies is a plus.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code.
  • Understanding of version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML/RAG tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Fabric, or Azure Cognitive Services.

  • Ability to adapt communication style and messaging to different audiences.

  • The candidate must be able to work in a team environment, or independently, as necessary, and be a self-starter who will attack designs and resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in common business software (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Visio, Teams/SharePoint).
  • Ability to work with project teams to successfully deliver new or modified functionalities.
  • Keen attention to detail to deliver solutions that meet business requirements and are operationally supportable.


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications: Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) and/or DevSecOps certifications are preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Candidate must be able to work in small-confined spaces (simulator cockpits).
  • Typically, employees sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives.
  • Must be able to travel via car and airplane.
  • Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator.
  • Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in an office environment consisting of offices and cubicles with low to moderate noise and bright or dim lighting. The work is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as external customers.
