A3 Consulting LLC is looking to hire a Java Developer I for our government client. The entry-level Java Developer will be responsible for collaborating with a team of senior java developers on designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Java-based applications. In this job you will:
Write, test, and debug Java code under the supervision of senior developers.
Develop and maintain features and functionalities for Java-based applications.
Participate in code reviews and receive feedback to improve coding practices.
Assist in troubleshooting issues in existing applications and systems.
Assist with resolving complex problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, testers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software.
Document code and update technical documentation for ongoing development projects.
Contribute to software design discussions and help implement solutions for business requirements.
Participate in development of software user manuals.
Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and integrate them into development processes.
Qualifications for the role:
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum three (3) years of experience as a java developer.
Demonstrated understanding of system development life cycle; software project management approaches; and requirements, design, and test techniques.
Experienced in DevOps best practices.
Familiarity container platforms for custom built application (Docker, OpenShift, etc.).
Modern front-end web programming techniques (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, ES6, Event-driven APIs (e.g., event mesh) and libraries (e.g., Vue).
Proficient in Alfresco API.
Strong knowledge of Java coding standard and best practices, design patterns, and code optimization techniques.
Experience with Java IDEs (e.g., Eclipse, JetBrains, IntelliJ, NetBeans).
Experience creating external modules and packages.
Experience with at least one of the common Java build tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle – familiarity with all of these is a plus).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write technical documentation.
Security Clearance:
Active Top Secret or the ability to obtain an Interim Top Secret
Salary range:
The salary range of this position is $90,000 - $110,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
