Overview

LMI is seeking a Media & Brand Channels Manager to oversee and optimize our external brand presence across digital channels. This role will lead strategic communications initiatives across earned and paid media, the LMI website, and social media platforms to maximize visibility and enhance market positioning within the government contracting industry.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, with a strong background in media relations, content strategy, and digital channel management. This individual must be a strategic thinker with excellent writing skills, stakeholder management experience, and a proven ability to connect, organize, and track external communication efforts for maximum impact.

Responsibilities

Media Relations & Earned Media
  • Develop and execute media outreach strategies to secure high-impact earned media placements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, industry influencers, and media outlets in the GovCon space.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media pitches, and thought leadership content.


Digital Brand Presence
  • Oversee LMI's external-facing digital channels, including website content strategy, social media, and digital advertising.
  • Ensure brand consistency and messaging alignment across all platforms.
  • Optimize web and social media content for engagement, SEO, and audience growth.


Paid Media & Advertising
  • Lead the strategy, execution, and measurement of paid media campaigns.
  • Identify high-value sponsorships, digital advertising opportunities, and strategic partnerships to enhance LMI's market visibility.
  • Track and report on paid media performance, optimizing investments for maximum impact.


Strategic Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align media and brand strategies with business objectives.
  • Serve as an advisor on external communication efforts to ensure cohesive storytelling and market positioning.
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems to measure the effectiveness of external brand efforts.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, media relations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the GovCon market and federal sector communications.
  • Proven experience in media relations, including pitching, securing placements, and managing press relationships.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for various audiences.
  • Deep familiarity with digital channels, including web content management, social media platforms, and digital marketing tools.
  • Experience in developing, shaping, and tracking paid media campaigns for brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect, organize, and track external communication efforts to enhance visibility and market impact.
