Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and maintain instrumentation systems, including installing a high volume of sensors and associated wiring onto aircraft parts and assemblies per engineering requirements.
- Install and manage various sensor types, such as Strain Gages, Accelerometers, Thermocouples, RTDs, and Pressure Transducers.
- Coordinate with Instrumentation Operations Engineers and Design Build Manufacturing Engineers to interpret engineering drawings and perform tasks like surface prep, hand sanding, cleaning, and handling hazardous materials.
- Fabricate wiring, perform electrical terminations, soldering, crimping, wire routing, continuity checks, labeling, and sealing.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits and wiring to ensure optimal performance.
- Work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and working from stair ladders, mobile lift platforms, scissor lifts, boom lifts, or overhead support systems.
- Support activities to plan, conduct, and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Design systems, materials, components, software, and methodologies to meet customer requirements.
- Participate in test design and perform routine procurement, fabrication, and assembly of components, test fixtures, and test systems.
- Support the coordination of test requirements and assist in reviewing test methods and capabilities.
- Facilitate systems integration, fabrication, and modification; support system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post-test tear-down.
- Conduct routine tests, analyze data, and document results.
- Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems.
- Work under general supervision.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Associate's Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience.
- Experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses or any variety of electrical components and associated equipment.
- Experience installing aircraft modifications, including fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components, or avionics boxes.
- Experience with aerospace assembly and/or electrical fabrication.
- AA degree in a related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
