Test & Evaluation Lab Tech

Are you ready to take your technical skills to new heights? We are seeking a skilled and experienced Test and Evaluation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide crucial support in both lab and aircraft production environments, working alongside production operations personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and maintain instrumentation systems, including installing a high volume of sensors and associated wiring onto aircraft parts and assemblies per engineering requirements.
• Install and manage various sensor types, such as Strain Gages, Accelerometers, Thermocouples, RTDs, and Pressure Transducers.
• Coordinate with Instrumentation Operations Engineers and Design Build Manufacturing Engineers to interpret engineering drawings and perform tasks like surface prep, hand sanding, cleaning, and handling hazardous materials.
• Fabricate wiring, perform electrical terminations, soldering, crimping, wire routing, continuity checks, labeling, and sealing.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and wiring to ensure optimal performance.
• Work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and working from stair ladders, mobile lift platforms, scissor lifts, boom lifts, or overhead support systems.

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Support activities to plan, conduct, and document tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Design systems, materials, components, software, and methodologies to meet customer requirements.
• Participate in test design and perform routine procurement, fabrication, and assembly of components, test fixtures, and test systems.
• Support the coordination of test requirements and assist in reviewing test methods and capabilities.
• Facilitate systems integration, fabrication, and modification; support system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post-test tear-down.
• Conduct routine tests, analyze data, and document results.
• Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems.
• Work under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Active Secret Clearance
• Associate's Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience.
• Experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses or any variety of electrical components and associated equipment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience installing aircraft modifications, including fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components, or avionics boxes.
• Experience with aerospace assembly and/or electrical fabrication.

Education / Experience:

• AA degree in a related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
