System Engineer

Currently, Recro is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented System Engineer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD.

Overview/Responsibilities:

• Provide Sr. Systems Engineering and Technical Support to the Zero Trust Implementation.
• The candidate will work with existing ICAM capability teams to define requirements, develop architecture, and design documentation, perform technology assessments, and develop or contribute to strategy and planning documents and support risk mitigation assessments.
• The candidate is expected to provide technical expertise in industry, federal, and DoD standards/policies as well as create and maintain ICAM Zero Trust documentation to include release notes, installation and user guides, frameworks, SOPs, and plans in accordance with Zero Trust mandates.
• The candidate will have the ability to understand and work with technologies like REST, Oracle/MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, JSON, XML, Docker, AWS, Nifi, Single Sign-On (OAuth and SAML) and Kubernetes.
• Research technical topics and apply it to different improvement areas, author documentation on technical topics including detailing how to use and configure system components and advisory documentation to support ICAM installation and planning
• researching and analyzing cloud security environments, scalable infrastructures, identifying capability gaps and enhancements for current ICAM services, defining implementation processes, and outlining hardware and software considerations.
• Must be able to assist the software developers with tracking and defining requirements, sprint planning/scheduling, design input/changes, and testing support, and develop outreach and communications strategies to external partners.

Required Qualifications:
Technical Consultant LCAT:

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional TC experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of 15 years.
• 10+ years of Technical Consultant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

System Engineer LCAT:

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of 20 years.
• 15+ years of System Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with SW development methodologies
• Ability to solve complex system/integration problems
• Experience briefing senior-level management
• Demonstrated engineering experience on programs with requirements, functional analysis, and allocation, conducting system requirement reviews, developing CONOPS and system architectures
• Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
• Experience in working with Software Development, Test Engineers, and System Administration teams to establish capabilities that meet requirements
• Ability to facilitate meetings and brief technical concepts to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Experience with developing program review materials
• Must be able to work in a collaborative environment. Must be able to work with minimum supervision and be customer focused.
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA
• Ability to perform advance troubleshooting
• Tier-2 Level 2 support experience a plus
• Strong customer service with the ability to diagnose and resolve customer problems
• Knowledge of EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO and CUI Standards
