Satellite Communications Systems Engineer

Contract Position

$82.19-$87.19/Hour

Senior Advanced Systems Engineer job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space & Defense company. As a systems engineer for the SDA GMI program, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.

Responsibilities:

• Apply technical expertise in Satellite Communications, Ground to Satellite Communications or Ground Operations experience
• Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
• Performs requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, and system design and definition
• Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
• Facilitates discussions with senior levels of Customer Stakeholders
• Performs design of networks, with working knowledge of networking protocols
• Performs detailed technical analyses for a software subsystem or system elements

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret Security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or STEM and 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 6+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated Satellite communications knowledge
• Satellite constellation contact planning experience
• Ground operations experience
• Experience in Software functional analysis and interface definitions, including Application Programing Interface experience
