Solidus is searching for a Sr. Database Architect.
In this position you would be familiar with creating, updating, and managing Postgres databases and the code that interacts with them.
This position is located in Richardson, TX. Candidates must be able to work on-site.
Day in the Life:
- Identify and understand customer needs and apply sound, demonstrable understanding of database principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering to translate those needs to viable design solutions.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.
- Successfully integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products as part of customer-driven solutions.
- Use proven problem solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.
- Obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of start.
Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizenship and an active Top Secret Clearance
-Willingness to undergo comprehensive background investigation
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- BS in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Day-to-day experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) solutions, such as Oracle, Postgres, or related systems. Note: This is not a management position, a hands-on expert is needed.
Preferred Qualifcations:
-Troubleshooting database issues such as DR, replication & backups and other related issues.
- Database security controls and audit & compliance requirements.
- NoSQL database products such as MongoDB.
- AWS services.
- Automating routine tasks.
- Security+ Certification
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $99,000- $154,000. Customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies and certifications, clearance status, and benefit selections will influence the final salary.
