Mechanical Engineer

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.

Mechanical Engineer

Work independently with some guidance. Review or guide activities of more junior employees.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working in hardware design, prototyping, 3D modeling, and computer-aided drafting ( CAD ) scholastically or in a professional environment
- Knowledge of basic engineering and physics principles as they apply to hardware design and product development
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and approaches, including additive and subtractive manufacturing techniques
- Ability to develop technical documentation, including 2D technical drawings and written technical documentation
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering by Summer 2025
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with the fabrication, assembly, and integration of electromechanical prototype or military systems
- Experience with finite element analysis ( FEA ) or modeling and simulation activities
- Experience with engineering sof tware, including MATLAB, Mathcad, or Multiphysics sof tware
- Experience with lab-based developmental testing and test data acquisition
- Knowledge of product design for manufacturability, reliability, maintainability, injection molding, ruggedization, and exposure to extreme environments
- Ability to collaborate with an integrated product team, including a variety of technical and non-technical teammates
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
