About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a Mid- Level Hardware Support Technician to join us.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform hardware maintenance and repairs for government-owned and furnished equipment, ensuring compliance with CDC standards and federal property management procedures.
- Obtain necessary approvals for non-warranty repairs, coordinating staging, shipping, and installation for warranty and non-warranty repair logistics.
- Inspect repaired items to ensure functionality and accuracy, updating ticket information in ServiceNow.
- Provide packing and crating services for equipment shipped for vendor repairs and coordinate with OSSAM for secure shipping and handling.
- Perform repairs on server hardware, including network file servers, application servers, and database servers, across geographically dispersed CDC data centers.
- Adhere to CDC security protocols and promptly report any discrepancies, damages, or irreparable items.
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or other related field plus 5 -7 years of experience, or
- Master of Information Technology or related field plus 3 - 5 years of experience, or
- PhD plus 0 - 2 years of experience
