Mayvin is seeking an Operations Specialist to deliver instruction to students enrolled in "A" and "C" schools at the United States Coast Guard Training Center (USCG TRACEN) in Petaluma, CA. The instructor plays a critical role in ensuring personnel are well-prepared for real-world scenarios, improving their ability to respond effectively to emergencies and operate efficiently in command environments.
Hourly Rate: $30.00/hr + $4.93/hr Health & Welfare
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to pass a background Investigation (BI)

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute to USCG Instructional standards in the conduct of classroom / laboratory / seminar / conference / discussion / lecture / demonstration / practical exercises per class training schedule
- Train personnel in SAR techniques, procedures, and best practices
- Cover topics such as mission planning, search patterns, rescue operations, and resource coordination
- Provide hands-on training in SAR equipment and technologies
- Teach how to manage and operate within command centers, focusing on communication, decision-making, and situational awareness
- Cover tools and systems for real-time tracking, coordination of field units, and crisis management
- Train students on effective command center workflows and protocols
- Emphasize skills related to ground operations, including navigation, terrain analysis, and integration of land assets in SAR and command operations
- Address unique challenges associated with land-based rescue and command environments
- Develop and deliver training programs that combine classroom instruction with practical, scenario-based exercises
- Assess students' performance and provide constructive feedback
Requirements:
- Minimum Two (2) years' experience as a primary classroom instructor
- Minimum Five (5) years of rated/commissioned operational experience as a qualified CIC Watch Supervisor
- Controller in the U.S. Coast Guard or equivalent in the U.S. Navy
