Requirements
Red Teams perform assessments from an adversarial viewpoint, using the full spectrum of identified adversarial capabilities, limited only by restrictions mandated by the customer and legal, safety, and security constraints, to test and evaluate protection strategies and demonstrate exploitation of identified vulnerabilities.
The Software Tool & Exploit Developer will design and build innovative tools for Cyber Red Team operators to use during assessments of U.S. Government and DoD critical networks.

Security Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility are required. ( Highly qualified candidates with a Secret Clearance may also be considered.)
Years of Experience:
Senior: 5-7+ years of related experience.
Junior: 3+ years of related experience.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience (years of experience may be used as a substitute for education).

The Software Tool & Exploit Developer will design and build innovative tools for Cyber Red Team operators to use during assessments of U.S. Government and DoD critical networks.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and develop tools, exploits, and code to support Red Team cyber operations.
- Perform Open-Source (OSINT) research on cyber related vulnerabilities and exploitation development.
- Performing code review on offensive scripts and code, and shepherd them through all required approval and DevOps processes.
- Analyze operational TTPs (Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures) and develop scripts and exploits to automate and improve operational processes. These products will help to better emulate adversarial threats and attacks and demonstrate and exploit vulnerabilities to sensitive mission critical networks and systems.
- Document safe, authorized, and secure usage for internally and externally developed tools in accordance with Red Team policies and procedures.
- Support or conduct DevOps/code reviews for operational approval.
- Leverage existing proof-of-concept code to build tailored exploits and integrate them into Command-and-Control (C2) tooling.
- Support development and tuning of C2 tools to improve effectiveness and reduce detectability.
- Respond to urgent development requests in support of assessments; Tailored tools and exploits may require assembly, testing, and approval within 24 hours of identifying a vulnerability.
- Analyze the offensive cyber tactics of a potential adversary by replicating their operations to assess and protect against security threats.
- Utilize publicly available information (PAI) on the internet to discover weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and compromised data.
- Conduct cyber operations against U.S. government entities to enhance cybersecurity, detect potential threats, and suggest ways to address vulnerabilities.
- Apply advanced knowledge of offensive cyber strategies (reconnoitering, infiltration, network exploration, data extraction) to emulate adversarial attacks during red team assessments.
Qualifications

- Experience in reverse engineering, vulnerability research, or offensive security.
- Expertise analyzing source code to develop tools, proofs-of-concept, and exploits.
- Expertise in scripting or development in one or more languages (e.g., C, C++).
- Senior: 5-7+ years of related experience.
- Junior: 3+ years of related experience.
- Strong fundamentals and demonstrated hands-on skills.
- Proven track record managing significant engagements.
- Hybrid work schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote.
- Typical office environment, extensive domestic and international travel, extreme weather conditions. Must be able to endure sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
