Cloud Migration Engineer

Marathon TS is looking for a Cloud Migration Engineer to support our efforts at Client.

Task Description:

• Installation, configuration, and administration of commercial middleware/third-party software (COTS) in Redhat Linux and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Resolving developer-submitted requests for day-to-day administrative tasks, enhancements, and product issues
• Routine patching, software updates, and remediation of security scan findings.
• System integration of applications across multiple nodes/cells and remote resources.
• Troubleshooting software issues, application issues, and user support issues in all environments.
• Support application development, deployment, and design requests within team and from other teams.
• Health check and performance monitoring of the applications and systems.

Required skills/Level of Experience :

• Experience planning and executing large data migrations (100TB+) between datacenters and cloud environments
• 3+ years' experience designing, developing, and integrating AWS cloud services within enterprise environments
• 3+ years' experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Ansible and/or Terraform
• 3+ years' experience working with CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Selenium, Docker, Chef, Puppet, JIRA, etc.
• Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, high-performance, and deadline-driven engineering team
• Ability to work well within a team; good interpersonal relational and collaboration skills

Nice to have skills:

• AWS certified at Associate level or higher
• 3+ years' experience administering Windows and Linux operating systems in AWS cloud environments
• 3+ years' experience with architecting and deploying IBM WebSphere systems architectures
• 2+ years' experience applying blue-green and canary deployment methodologies to ensure seamless application updates and minimize downtime.
• Ability to handle escalations and friendly resolution of hardware and software problems
• Ability to learn quickly and use new complex technical concepts and resolve issues in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to discuss complex technical concepts with technical staff and business stakeholders in a simple, straightforward manner
