Job Details Description Marathon TS is seeking a highly motivated DoD Cloud Network Engineer to join our team to support our government clients. The successful applicant needs to have extensive working knowledge of a wide variety of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems. The Cloud Network Engineer will be a multifaceted role working with networks and systems in geographically dispersed areas. This person will be part of the Network Engineering team and responsible for helping with projects related to enterprise cloud networking.

As a Sr. Cloud Network Engineer, you will:
- Support Federal Government clients in their cloud operations to enhance, optimize, and maintain their computing capabilities across their technical landscape.
- Interview clients to understand their application and infrastructure current state.
- Analyze local area, wide area, and wireless communication network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites with various hardware and software.
- Perform assessments to resolve interoperability and/or network latency problems to maintain operations across all platforms including files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like.
- Design technical solutions covering product selection for the key components of the network technology stack, including cloud services & connectivity, network hardware/software, load balancers, firewalls, routers, switches, proxies and sizing.
- Review of client network infrastructures and propose roadmap options for improvements.
- Maintain allocation of IP CIDR block, perform maintenance involving modification of VNET, VPC within respective Cloud Service Provider
- Verify and action on events aggregated from network monitoring tools and Web Application Firewall
- US Citizenship is required.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
- MUST have one or more of the following Level II IAT Certification:
- CCNA Security
- CSA+
- GICSP
- GSEC
- Security+ CE
- SSCP
- BS/BA degree plus 12 years of IT experience. In lieu of a degree, 3 more years of relevant experience may suffice (for a total of 15 years).
- Experience and working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, Site to site VPNs, F5 Load Balancers
- Working knowledge of DoD networks
- Experience working with DISA AND/OR Netcom
- Hands on experience with networking components and concepts including subnets, DMZs, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Experience actively implementing cloud connectivity solutions using AWS Direct Connect OR Azure Express Route.
- High proficiency in written and oral communication for conveyance of cloud solution work products. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification, or other advanced networking certification
- Transforming, integrating, and automating network infrastructure to tightly integrate with SDN (Software Defined Networking).
- Blue Coat Proxy experience
- Experience with zero-trust networks
- Experience with Cross-Domain-Solutions for transferring data between Non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNet) and Secret Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (SIPRNet).
- Previous Federal Government experience
- Previous Army experience
- DoD Secret/TS Clearance
- Experience with FedRamp environments
